When I started this blog I wanted to be able to track the highs and lows of my startup/business/personal development journey as it happened and I was able to do so fairly frequently. The bittersweet irony was the more I had to write about, the less time I had to actually go ahead and do so. I felt pressured to go into excruciating detail about many of the happenings in my life when, in reality, perhaps it would be more effective to focus on one area.I was inspired to end my blogging hiatus by a reader and dear friend who explained how important this blog is to her. Come 2018 I am pledging a renewed focus on using my platform to enlighten.
In the meantime, I think it is only right to take stock of the year and reflect on everything I have achieved so far (there’s still a day left, after all).
2018 is my year of being open about my successes but it that means it also needs to be my year of going above and beyond. It is very easy to diminish your achievements in fear of becoming complacent but, to me, celebrating success is to glorify God. I have had a difficult year and have had to make many tough decisions, but those decisions will alter the course of my life and I’m excited to see what that means to me.
MOD. TO MEASURE has undergone some drastic changes which mean I am able to launch with the business I always wanted and make an impact in the way that I desired. I’m really excited for the first couple of months of 2018 to see how this plays out! In the meantime, if you’d like early access to MOD. TO MEASURE, sign up here: http://www.mod-to-measure.com/
2018 will be my year of new relationships, business development, curiosity, business trips (and business class 😏), spiritual growth, and celebration. I can’t wait to share my journey!
I hope you have the chance to reflect on the past year and, more importantly, lay out your plans for the year ahead. Have something to work towards and hold yourself accountable. After all, you are in charge of your own destiny.
See you in 2018!
